This weeks episode of Wine Time Fridays is all about the Dolcetto grape, a variety native to Piedmont, in Italy. A week ago Shelley and Phil were not too familiar with this grape but really enjoyed both offerings they taste through, a Pecchenino San Luigi Dogliani (from Italy) and one they found in their own

In this episdode, Shelley and Phil explore Italy as they taste through two Italian wines, one white, which is probably a varietal you haven’t heard of, and one red. The white is a 2018 Terredora Di Paolo – Falanghina Irpinia ‘Corte di Giso and the red is the 2016 Tenuta Sant’Antonio Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore Monti

In this episode, Shelley and Phil taste through two wines from the Piedmont region of Italy. Because it’s Moscato day on May 9, they are pouring a Bartenura 2018 Moscato d’Asti. Then they move on to a 2018 Barbera d’Asti Pico Maccario Lavignone that came in their newest wine club pack from The Dinner Party.
